Frodsham English Bracket Clock c1880
A top-quality Mahogany/maple inlay bracket clock in original condition retailed by makers to Queen Victoria.
Numbered 20809 with a French movement by AD Mouglin marked on the back plate.
The case is simply stunning in solid heavy mahogany wood with maple stringing, the clock stands 13” high x 9” wide with a depth of 5” it is in very good original condition has had a lot of wax over the years.
The dial is in mint condition in white porcelain with the black Roman numerals with the original black moon hands still present.
The dial is signed Frodsham 20809.
The face is covered by a convex glass in a brass bezel which opens with ease.
The movement is an eight-day time and strike which has the gong at the rear, this movement was cleaned and serviced February 2023.
Overall a very nice clock quite rare in this form that looks great on display keeping excellent time.
